SVOBO
Overview
Who understands a branding designer better than an architect? From the very beginning of this project, we were speaking the same language. The Svobo brand creates custom-made, solid wood homes, often situated in forest settings. The Svobo team guides the client through the entire journey—from the initial concept and legal hurdles to the finished house. This is a premium service.
The problem was that the brand looked like just another "wooden house company." But they aren't on that level. From a strategic standpoint, it became quite clear: this isn't a catalog prefab, nor is it a designer's showpiece for other architects.
This led to the first major shift: instead of leaning on clichés about "sanctuaries," "dreams," or "your place on earth," we moved the communication toward decisions, process, and responsibility. Hence the tagline:
"You know what you want. We know how to do it."
The visual transformation was a consequence, not the starting point. The logo was streamlined, moving away from being "playful" to becoming a core carrier of the system. The design system is built on a balance of typography, minimalist illustrations, and unconventional colors. The overall aesthetic is intentionally restrained.
The biggest change wasn't about what is immediately visible or proposing a "new bird" in the signet (which, of course, we didn't do). It was finally establishing exactly what Svobo is—and what it is not.
